About
I visited Peru in the summer of 2006. After hiking the Inca Trail, wandering the streets of Cuzco, flying over the Nazca Lines and sailing past the colonies of seals on the Ballestas Islands I decided I loved this unique and amazing country. This website was made because the history and culture of the Inca is fascinating and inspiring. Their story deserves to be told to many, so that their memory stays alive.
Although I used a number of sources to put this site together, I would never have even begun had it not been for the explanations and stories told to us while hiking the Inca Trail by Ramiro, one of the guides at Llama Path. I would also like to thank my sister Sally, who invited me to come with her to South America and who encouraged me to make a site about the Incas. Finally, the excellent book The Incas by Terence N. D'Altroy has been invaluable for much of the information on the site.
